Has this happened to your puppy. Did he eventually regain his/her appetite? When?
Its perfectly normal.
Just like a flu jab in people, it can be sore afterwards and can also give them an upset stomach or headache etc.
It is PERFECTLY normal. As long as the dog eats 24 hours after its fine. If you are worried about him find his favourite food (even if its a bit naughty I.e a fatty treat) and give him some for strength.
Don’t worry though, my dogs all do this everytime they have an injection of any kind. Only worry if he gets a terrible temperature or goes over 24 hours with no food/water.
I live in the UK where rabies has been wiped out in canines, however they do the same thing for their parvo-virus injections.

Sometimes vaccinations can cause a little upset stomach, if he continues for more than a day call your vet. Make sure he is drinking water, you could try a Little boiled chicken and rice.
Oh great we have another idiot troll, thanks snowflake

Yes, my dog usually sleeps a lot too that day. She is back to normal the next day. If your pup is still not eating after 24 hours I would take it back to the vet.

Honestly, with two Great Dane puppies I’ve never noticed them have a lack of appetite. I’m convinced they’d eat a frosted dog poop. If they snubbed their nose up at food I’d be making a trip to the e-vet. I do, however, have a Rat Terrier who is prone to vaccine reactions. When she got her first rabies shot we thought she was going to die on us. That’s why we don’t vaccinate her any more. We take her every year for titers, which are tests to check if the dog still has antibodies against certain diseases. Of course, it’s the law in my state that no dog or cat may receive medical treatment unless they’re vaccinated against rabies, so if my Ratty were to (heaven forbid) get sick or injured, she’d need a rabies shot at the time of treatment.
Your Westie may be a little groggy today and may have some loose stools or he may even vomit once or twice. The injection site will be tender and may get a little whelped up. He may have slight swelling and/or redness around the injection site for up to a week. What you want to watch out for are signs of anaphylactic shock (which is *highly* rare with dogs receiving vaccinations) which include sudden chronic vomiting and/or diarrhea, seizures, signs of shock, or coma. Their gums become pale, breathing becomes rapid, but shallow, there is usually swelling of the face and their legs will become cold to the touch. Obviously this is the absolute worst case scenario, and it requires an immediate ER vet visit.
Rabies shots are one of a handful of vaccinations given to dogs that are a killed vaccine, meaning the virus or bacteria is dead, but they need to use a higher concentration of the virus or bacteria to make it effective. In order to do this the vaccine manufacturers use a number of allergy-causing adjuvants. It’s not uncommon for there to be side effects. Just keep an eye on your little fellow and if his condition worsen by tomorrow, take him to your vet or an emergency vet.

Any vomiting/diarrhea? Activity level — is he OK? Moving around OK? Any other signs?
Its not unusual for them to be a little bit ‘off’ after their vaccine, but if it persists (i.e. if he’s still like this tomorrow), I’d be phoning the vet for sure. If he’s showing any signs other than simply being a bit off his food, I might make a phone call earlier to discuss (and possibly come in earlier too), It doesn’t have to have anything to do with the vaccine, and the fact that he had his vaccine yesterday doesn’t necessarily mean anything. (coincidences do happen).
Best of luck.

Yes as with all vaccinations a dog or puppy may have a small reaction – take a look at the link below as it covers some of the side effects of vaccinations.
