How Much Should My Six Month Old Westie Weigh?

I am wondering…I asked my vet and she says he’s fine but he only weighs 8 lbs. I have another Westie that was about 15 lbs at that age. I am wondering if there may be something wrong with him despite my vet telling me he’s fine. Does anyone else have a six month old at this time that I can compare to?

there’s nothing wrong with him.. if the vet says he’s fine, then he’s fine. :)

    there’s nothing wrong with him.. if the vet says he’s fine, then he’s fine. :)

    Your vet is telling you that he is a healthy puppy, not that he is a typical example of a Westie.
    If you bought him from a reputable breeder, have a word with them. If he isn’t KC Reg from a responsible breeder, he may not even be purebred which would account for his small size.
