Does anyone know anything about West Highland White Terriers?

I'm thinking of getting one. They're supposed to be really sweet. Just wondering if anyone has had any personal experience with them… are they snappy, easy to train, etc?

I've been a groomer for 18 years and have seen many. For the most part they are very sweet dogs. Remember as with all breeds, it is how they are raised. I have had a few in my shop that were snippy, but not many. Get them used to being groomed as early as possible after they have had their shots. Don't take them to a groomer before they have had at least 2 sets of shots. It is not safe! We clean and disinfect as much as we can, but adult dogs can carry disease which are air borne and not show any signs but can pass it on to your puppy. A lot of groomers will disagree and tell you to bring in you puppy at 6-8 weeks old to get them started, but please don't, they just want your money. It is not safe until you get the shots. If you get the shots on time it will be safe to take them to the groomer at about 12-16 weeks old.The same goes for anywhere else you take them. They need to be groomed about every 6-8 weeks. I don't know where you live, but I charge 25. to groom one.
