I want to get a dog,and west highland white terriers are my favorite breed of dogs.Does anyone know the pros and cons of these dogs?
I’ve met someone at dog obedience class who has one and they found him to be very stubborn. I know they are very cute but this one was hard to train. The little guy weighed about 10 pounds but was harder to train than my 40 pound dalmatian.
I know they are prone to skin problems. They need to be groomed often.

Westies are my favorite breed of dogs. My Hunter is very well behaved for the most part once in awhile he gets in the mood to break the rules but thats not very often. He was born in January of this year and when we got hm he liked to play alot then he would sleep for hours. He was house broke within 2 weeks. Very smart loyal dogs. My husband and I will play fight lightly tapping eachother and Hunter will bark at my husband till he leaves me alone. Hunter has never bit anyone. Just likes to bark little dog with a big bark. Definately a good lap dog. Now that he is 9 months old he is alot more mellow just likes to cuddle. Be prepared westies will follow you everywhere. Hunter tries to follow me to the bathroom. Just be careful who you buy from avoid puppy mills. A sure sign of a dog from a puppy mill is in the puppies feet if they are dingy in color that means they have sat in their own waste for a long time. Grooming can be costly but these little guys are well worth it. Best Dog I ever had.
