You should have a stool sample tested at your vet’s office EVERY year. For flea and tick preventative, my vet office always recommends Frontline Plus because we believe it’s the best. You can talk with you local vet and see what they suggest. Flea and tick season starts in March and goes through to December. Depending on what part of the U.S. you live in of course. (In the midwest it’s March-December). Preventative should be given once a month for both dogs. Hope this helps!

I use frontline on my westie every 5 weeks for fleas.I use Panacur liquid for worms every 6 weeks,Drontal is what most people use for worms but George does not tolerate it very well it makes him sick.You can buy all your frontline and wormer online at Vetuk much cheaper than going to your vet.I love westies such little characters.Good Luck

Your vet should be testing for worms and heartworms annually.
Most dogs do not need additional regular worming if they are on a heartworm preventative. All of the heartworm preventatives except straight ivermectin also offer some protection against intestinal worms. So if you are on Interceptor, Heartgard Plus, Iverhart Plus, Revolution, etc., you are also protecting against intestinal worms while you protect against heartworms.
I prefer Frontline Plus for flea and tick prevention, but I am not sure if that is available in the UK. I use Interceptor for heartworm prevention.

You should threat them with a flea treatment every 4 weeks ones that you buy from the vet are better than supermarket ones as they dont work! The should be wormed every 3 months depending on what product uyou use but again ones you buy from the vet will work much better!! Hope that helps!!
