My 1 year old male pit bull started playing with a west highland terrier. I’ve been wanting a Westie for a while now but was afraid their personality would be too yappy and hard to get along with my pit bull. My pit bull is very good with ALL dogs so i have no concerns with him. I’ve done reading and research myself about Westies but would like to hear your input as well. My questions are:

-Do westies bark alot? If yes, can i easily correct it with training and discipline?
-Will the westie be nice to my pit bull?
-Since i have trained a pit bull, my friends tell me that training (pottying, crate, no chewing, etc) a Westie will not be difficult for me since pit bulls are more stubborn than Westies. Is this true?
-Any other concerns about Westies that i should know about?

I might rescue a Westie if everything seems to work out.

Your Pit Bull is not yet mature and may still become dog aggressive.Not saying it will happen but,don’t discount the possibility.A less than positive encounter with another dog can also flip that switch.

The dogs may get along fine.The fact that you will have two terriers means there is a fair chance they won’t.If they don’t get along,are you prepared to crate and rotate while making sure the dogs are separate at all times?
