Reaching Out- A Special Tour for our Veterans.
-Since Big Cat Rescue only offers educational guided tours at select times 6 day a week, it allows our cats a sanctuary home as well as the comfort of doing special tours at times so that the guest can have the place to themselves. Tours allow us a chance to tell the plight of these big cats in captivity and in the wild.
We recently did a free tour for a group of veterans from our local V.A. hospital. Since a number of our own members are former military it is always a meaningful experience.

Closed on Sundays is a nice look at Big Cat Rescue on our quietest day.
Get a close up look of the cats like never before.
Educating the public about captive and wild felines is very important and that is why we do tours Mon- Sat. We feel strongly about only being open on tour times, as not only does everyone get a tour guide to educate them about the cats and answer all their questions, but then it allows the cats to have a break between times when guests are walking around. And after our busiest day on Saturday, what a better way to spend a Sunday then to be closed. And in being closed not only do we provide a beautiful sanctuary feel for our resident felines; it also becomes a morning haven for our volunteers.

We have 14 Leopards living at Big Cat Rescue, snow leopards, black leopards and golden leopards. Supposedly the smartest of the big cats and definitely the most fun!
